Provided below is a list of rules booklets from the 3 major Curling associations. Within you will find a complete set of rules for the game. These are not recommended for beginners but as a resource for all club members. If you have a question feel free to ask one of the more experienced club members or our Competition Director, Paul H. The speed of a slider is determined not only by the material it is made of but the thickness of the material. Manufactures create slightly different sliders but they are all standardized to a 1-10 system. Below is a chart of generally accepted speeds for slider materials and shoes that carry those sliders.
