The Winter League is currently underway but if you're still interested in learning how to curl we are hosting a 4 week Learn To Curl session during our late league on Sundays from 7:30 to 9:30. The cost is $25 per person. Each session will cover basic skills such as delivering a rock, sweeping and strategy.

Be sure to check out the Oklahoma Curling Club's Google Group. It is a forum for members to communicate with each other. If you are interested in becoming a substitue for someone who can't make it to a league night this is the place to check first. You also just might find some good deals on equipment.

To sign up, go to the Group's Main Page and request membership. Once you are approved (usually one day) you can then create a profile.

Jonathan Havercroft is happy to announce the formation of the "Oklahoma Curling Club" that will bring together curling enthusiasts from across the state. The O.K.C.C. is based out of Norman, where Havercroft is an assistant professor in the University of Oklahoma Political Science department. A 23-year veteran of curling in leagues ranging from recreational weekend clubs to cash bonspiels, Havercroft sees this new venture as a place for recreational leagues, along with the opportunity to form a team to compete regionally.
